*Brainspirations is a series by Jason, crafted during his healing voyage. The aim is to share wisdom nuggets to help navigate through life's storms.
May this piece find YOU, and be the buoy in your sea of doubts.
The phrase “Let it Go” has almost become a cliché in our lives, akin to offering ‘thoughts and prayers’. We’ve all been there, advising ourselves or others to just ‘let it go’ amidst a tempest of frustrations. But, is it that simple? Or is there more to this narrative?
I’ve been there too, getting entangled in a whirlpool of negative chatter, berating myself to just ‘let go’ of the negative vibes. It’s easier said than done, isn’t it? If you’ve been on this boat, know that you’re not sailing alone.
Perhaps, it’s time we shift the dialogue from ‘letting go’ to ‘stop letting this define you.’ Our reactions to life’s curveballs are what truly sculpt our experience. Life is an endless flow of situations, some in our favor, others not so much. It’s a given, yet each time things go awry, we find ourselves tangled in a web of disappointment. Is it the situation, or is it our reaction to it that’s anchoring us down?
Here’s a nugget of reality…
Despite our fervent wishes, life won’t always play our tune. And if we continue reacting to unfavorable tunes with anger or frustration, we're just inviting more discord into our lives. It’s like tuning into a radio frequency that plays the tunes of our fears and frustrations. Are we surprised then when life echoes back the same tune?
Instead of merely ‘letting go’, maybe it’s time we address our reactions. Maybe it’s time we tuned our inner radio to the frequency of acceptance and love.
Embark on this introspective journey, not because it’s easy, but because you’re worth it. There's magic residing in love, ready to unfold as you alter your reactions and dance to the tune of acceptance. Whereas fear, it’s a deceitful tune, promising nothing but a cacophony of distress.
So, the next time life throws a curveball your way, instead of getting entangled in the ‘let it go’ narrative, pause, reflect on your reaction, and choose a tune of acceptance. It’s not about letting go of the situation, but letting go of the reaction that disempowers you.
Thank you for being here, and soaking in these words. You’re a melody in the symphony of life, make sure to play a tune that resonates with love and acceptance.
Much love to every soul reading this.
