Ever find yourself amidst a cacophony of 'yeah, buts' when you attempt to voice your dreams?
Picture this - you harbor a dream, nurturing it silently within the chambers of your heart. One day, courage blossoms and you share it with someone. While their response may echo support, the ‘yeah, but...’ in their tone gnaws at you.
Oh, the infamous 'yeah, but...' retort. It comes in various shades – “yeah, but how will you achieve that?”, “yeah, but isn’t that too ambitious?”, or the classic “yeah, but I knew someone who tried and failed...” It’s a ceaseless loop! Perhaps it’s time we bid adieu to the ‘yeah, buts...’ and embrace our dreams with a hearty ‘Yes, and…’
Now, pause and reflect - what do you seek when you unveil your dreams? Is it validation, assurance, camaraderie, or something deeper? Delve within to understand your longing.
The revelation may astonish you - the affirmation you seek resides within you! Yes, you don’t need an external chorus to validate your tune. People around may mean well, but their perspective is painted by their life’s canvas, not yours.
Sharing your dreams might sometimes feel like seeking a lighthouse in a storm. Yet, remember, others’ ‘yeah, buts...’ are not your roadblocks. They might just lack the vision to see your dreams through your eyes, and that’s okay.
Others might dish out 'yeah, buts...' simply because they can’t fathom how they would navigate your path. They aren't you. Therefore, the quest for answers should be a rendezvous between you and your inner self.
Engage in a dialogue with yourself, ask insightful questions, trust your instinct, and stay agile. Fear relishes in narrating ‘yeah, but’ tales, yet love shines a light on the path of ‘yes, and...’
Love also translates others’ ‘yeah, buts...' into a testament of your potential - “I may not see the how, but if there’s anyone who can, it’s you!”
