What's the latest lesson?

As I orbit around the sun for the 45th time, I've been plumbing the depths of youthful naivety. One recurring theme is the vexation stemming from things not unfolding as envisioned.

From this introspection, numerous insights emerged, yet two of them strike a chord the loudest.

Firstly, the tendency to jump to conclusions before even embarking on the journey! 

How often do we call the game before even setting foot in the arena? It seems like a predisposition to brace for defeat even before the battle commences. Ever caught yourself uttering, “Oh, I just don’t know how to do it,” or “I’m not cut out for this, perhaps tomorrow when I'm more in the zone.” Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? 

What if the narrative shifted to, “I might not know the ropes yet, but learning could be exhilarating,” or “Why not, let’s dive into this adventure!” Perhaps, silencing the internal skeptic and embracing the unknown with open eyes might unlock unseen avenues.

Secondly, the bizarre notion that a stumble at the first hurdle equals failure. Ever considered that the initial outcome might not have been the desirable one anyway?

The actual magic might unfold on the third, fourth, or tenth venture. Maybe the focus has been misplaced all along, veiling the joy and love nestling in the process. I've traversed this path, cherishing the wrong milestones. But no more! 

The euphoria, clarity, and boundless love I experience now is something I wish to share far and wide. Perhaps, these words are my humble attempt at encapsulating and dispatching this joy to you. With a newfound mission, I’m ecstatic about the road ahead and immensely grateful for every moment of it. 

I invite you to accompany me on this unfolding journey. And when your path beckons, embrace it with open arms. However, be gentle with yourself. Life already throws curveballs aplenty, no need to add to the tumult by self-flagellation.
