There's a common narrative, “I don’t invite troubles, they find me uninvited!” A comforting tale to tell, yet far from the reality. The essence of good and bad, often, is a dance of perspective. A joyful day with cotton candy can turn sour with a mere fall of the sweet bundle, painting the same scene with strokes of laughter or bruises.
We seldom embark on a journey inviting mishaps, yet when the undesired knocks at our door, we stand aghast, questioning the whims of the universe. Amidst this, we unknowingly become the harshest critics of our own story. The rhetoric of self-doubt, “Why do I even try?” becomes a familiar tune.
The trap lies in the fixation on the undesired, overlooking the myriad times desires blossomed into reality. Our narrative often freezes at, “that one time I tried…” dubbing it the dream killer. Yet, every missed shot is a gateway for another dreamer, a poetic circle of giving and receiving, often unseen.
Here's a gentle invitation for times the world seems to cloak the good in a veil of challenges - Pause. Reflect, “Is my lens tinted with fears, blurring the daily miracles unfolding?” The clarity, sometimes, comes from unexpected life twists, like the lens of gratitude my journey with a brain tumor granted me. A surreal clarity, that unveils the daily dances of good amidst the perceived bad.
As the waves of life ebb and flow, may you find the courage to pause, to see, to embrace the unnoticed good. Even in overwhelming tides, there’s a silent whisper of love, a soft touch of good awaiting your recognition.
