Lately, my thoughts have been meandering around the notion of wonder. Embracing a robust sense of wonder has flung open numerous doors in my life, yet the battle to trust it has been real.
Likely, akin to me, you’ve had your fair share of “I wonder if _____” moments. Whether it's a humble query like “if I did this would this happen?”, a monumental decision looming, or maybe the fear has gripped so tight, wondering feels like a far-off land. There's no judgment here; it's human to oscillate among these states.
The fear, oh the fear, it springs from the abyss of the unknown. The what-ifs—what if that “thing” crumbles, or what if it flourishes, and “how do I navigate that?”—can halt us dead in our tracks.
Here’s a nugget of undeniable truth: the world as we know it is the playground of the wonderers. This device you’re reading on, your car, your abode, the medicine in your cabinet, those snazzy shoes, your cherished book, and the skilled hands that excised my tumor—all are the offspring of wonder. Isn’t it about time we tuned into our wonder radar?
Take a beat. Connect with your core, pose the crucial questions, muster the courage to truly answer them, and take those fledgling steps forward into the realm of wonder. Could it hold your answers?
Today, a couple of cherished friends brought me a delightful gift bag bearing the words “squeeze the day.” I echo this sentiment—squeeze hard! Life’s script can flip with no preamble. The clock’s ticking to truly live! Remember, not all who wonder are lost; some are just embarking on their journey!
Much love and a huge thank you for the ceaseless good vibes!
