Finding Strength in Creation
My journey to becoming an author was filled with doubt, yet I found strength in my first love: illustration. The discipline required to bring my ideas to life taught me the value of persistence. With writing, as with drawing, practice was crucial. Embracing the journey and finding joy in creation itself became my mantra, focusing on the process over the outcome.
Centering Your Inner Potter:
Getting centered wasn’t a walk in the park and it still takes lots of practice. Admittedly, brain cancer provide a huge assist. I wish I could go back and tell younger me what I’ve learned. But hey, I’m here to share it with you now. It all began with just noticing my thoughts and breaths, trying not to be too hard on myself. Meditation wasn’t about instant zen but more about giving it a shot without expecting too much. Over time, I got better at spotting when I was starting to spiral and learned how to pull myself back. This is just a brief glimpse into a deeper journey, but if I can do it you can too!
