THE STORY
We're bombarded by different ways things are supposed to be done. Seems like every day there's a new guru popping up with THE way to get things accomplished.
That's not to say there's something wrong with this. But it is to point out that we're constantly looking for guideposts, for proof of what can be done.
Each of us has goals. Some are material. Some are mental. Some are physical. And in our moments of adversity, we seek those who show us what's possible.
Here's what's really important to understand: What they're doing is showing you what worked for them. They're showing you that there is a path.
That's what I do with hope. I show you there's a place to begin. This is what worked for me. It may or may not work for you, and that's okay.
THE SHIFT
But here's where the mistake happens, especially in a world where we're bombarded by highlight reels of everybody's life.
We look at people who have accomplished things and think, "This is what I gotta do." Often, it's presented that way by those very people.
What's left out? The people behind the scenes. The drivers making those things happen. Not all of us have access to all of these things. Some of us have to figure things out alone.
That's not to say you can't pull off things others will look up to. It's just to say that your path is your path.
The comparisons we make constantly to everybody else, the judgment we throw down on ourselves, isn't fair. Not to ourselves, not to the universe, not to God.
THE UPLIFT
The universe doesn't have just one plan for you. Your path has multiple ways to get where you're going.
Asking for help isn't a problem. It's a superpower.
Being misunderstood is okay. Not everybody's gonna get what you do.
What matters is the relationship you have between you and the thing that's looking to come to life through you. As you connect with that, with all the love in your heart and all your mind, understand that the path in front of you is meant for you to try.
It may not be perfect all the time. But nobody learns anything from being perfect.
All the amazing things in our lives happen from all the imperfections. This is how we grow. This is how we help others.
Your path doesn't need to look like theirs. It needs to look like yours.
HOPE isn't a passive wish. It's a strategy. And your strategy is uniquely yours.
Thank you for sharing this amazing journey called life with me.
With HOPE,
Jason
P.S. Your imperfect path is exactly what someone else needs to see to believe their own is possible.
